Gordon’s Bay Spar is situated near the suburbs in town, allowing residents to easily access the store. To add to the convenience of finding all you need under one roof, the store is also open later than other stores, to allow patrons to purchase those last minute items after work.
Spar is an international, highly acclaimed brand. They have numerous stores in 42 countries worldwide. This retail chain started out in South Africa during the 1960’s when a group of 8 wholesalers named Spar started opening shops around the country. In 1963 already, 500 small retailers were serviced by these wholesalers, all over South Africa. Today, there are more than 1000 Spar stores throughout the country, serviced by 6 local distribution outlets.
